United Nations Military Observer Group of India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) is one of the United Nations Mission having Headquarter in Rawalpindi . UNMOGIP is controlling the India and Pakistan offices and all the information is stored in the Headquarter. UNMOGIP was using Domino Server for email handling and other documents were archived in manual files. They had no central document archiving system. With the manual archiving system it became increasingly difficult for employees to keep information stored in an organized, structured fashion, which in turn made it extremely challenging for other employees to find the information they needed.
UNMOGIP evaluated several document management products and found that Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 was the best match for price, features, and performance. Trisoft worked closely with UNMOGIP personnel to identify Portal Structure, document libraries, lists, custom attributes for searching, keyword needs, and interface design. Trisoft develop custom web parts with the ability to scan and save the document in to particular document library through digital sender and send files or documents directly to the SPS document library through email. |
